NewsWatch, the award-winning television show is located in Washington, DC. Nonetheless, it has satellite offices in Denver, New York City, VA, and Fairfax. NewsWatch is owned and run by Bridge Communications, which is a video production and communication company. It began airing in March 1990, addressing issues related to finance. Later in the 1990’s, it expanded into a TV news magazine, generating and discussing a variety of topics concerning the public.
NewsWatch TV focuses on consumer and entertainment format, mobile app reviews, celebrity interviews, advertising technologies, advances and gadgets, editorial and sponsored electronic reviews, government and medical news, and public service announcement. It is well known for featuring national non-profit awareness campaign, video news releases (VNR, s) and satellite media tours. The broadcast happened every Monday at 7 am on AMC Network, and on all networks associated with Ion Television and independent local stations.
In 2017, Newswatch scooped the coveted Gold and Platinum Marcom award for its nationwide 30-minute show. In the same year, Newswatch won the national 2017 Videographer Award for its excellence in entertainment programming. Previously, Newswatch had won the 2016 Silver Telly Award and nominated for the coming year’s award.
Susan Bridges, Michelle Ison, and Andrew Tropeano are the hosts in NewsWatch. They introduced the idea of individual stories and consumer oriented products reviews. They also handled interviews all over the U.S. In fact, they have interviewed numerous celebrities with connection or involvement with the issues at hand. NewsWatch started working with various Fortune 500 companies in April 2011 to develop technology-related products review to air. The most recent reviews include Siemens, Sony, and Audi. Later, in May 2012, NewsWatch introduced a new segment, AppWatch, to review new mobile apps for different operating systems like iOS, Android, and Window. Andrew Tropeanpo hosts AppWatch on a weekly basis.
